WALTHAM, Mass. - (Business Wire) Quattro Wireless (www.quattrowireless.com) announced today it has launched nineteen mobile Web sites for Cox Newspapers, Inc. local properties around the country. Cox Newspapers continues its leadership in digital media by adapting its content for new formats, and is establishing a leadership position for mobile news content. Cox Newspapers has selected Quattro to provide a complete package of mobile services including site mobilization through Quattros proprietary Juicing technology, ad operations and ad sales. A sample of live Cox Newspapers sites include: Statesman.com (Austin TX); PalmBeachPost.com (Palm Beach FL); DaytonDailyNews.com (Dayton OH); and WacoTrib.com (Waco TX).

The new mobile Web sites cover regions from Texas to Ohio to Florida, and offer visitors access to breaking local and national news and Quick Search features for accessing local restaurants, events, music, and movie listings. The sites represent a way for advertisers to reach a local and targeted audience on a mobile device. In addition to Cox Newspapers, Quattro powers and sells mobile advertising for other top news sites such as CBS News, The Street.com and Boston.com.

By employing its proprietary Juicing technology, an automated, real-time solution for adapting wired Web content for mobile on a handset-specific basis, Quattro has efficiently produced the almost twenty mobile sites for Cox Newspapers. The regional Cox Newspapers sites provide another means for readers to obtain relevant local information, while also allowing the newspaper sites to generate additional revenue through mobile advertisements. Using the Quattro Wireless Ad Platform, Cox Newspaper publishers now have additional inventory to offer advertisers interested in reaching a quality audience in local markets.

News is a natural fit for the mobile audience and mobiles ad-supported platform provides a great opportunity for the evolving news business, said Lars Albright, vice president of business development at Quattro Wireless. We are thrilled to add the Cox Newspapers sites to the growing list of publishers in our News Channel. Advertiser response to the Quattro news channel has been very positive with particular interest in the local targeting opportunities sites like the Cox family of newspapers offers.

We selected Quattro as our mobile partner because of their increasing leadership in the mobile industry, said Tonya Echols, executive director, COXnet-Cox Newspapers.
