NEW YORK, March 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Six Flags announced today plans to partner with one of country music's biggest stars, Alan Jackson, in "The Good Time Country Contest with Alan Jackson and Six Flags." The grand prize is a country music lover's dream -- an all-expense paid trip to the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on May 18 at the MGM Grand Hotel Garden Arena in Las Vegas, a trip to any Six Flags park with a backstage pass to the concert of their choice and a private meet and greet with Alan Jackson himself.
For a chance to win this one-of-a-kind music extravaganza, applicants must write an essay answering the question, "How does country music thrill you, move you or define who you are?" The essays will be judged on originality and passion and the winner will be chosen by Alan Jackson. The contest runs from March 13 - April 18. Essays may be submitted online at http://www.sixflags.com/GoodTimeCountryContest or by mail.
Home to the most thrilling rides and attractions in the world, it's the eclectic and premium summer concerts that make Six Flags the worldwide leader in thrilling entertainment. This season, Six Flags will present more than 100 free concerts including the return of the popular Starburst Thursday Night Concert Series, which last year featured The Jonas Brothers, Ne-Yo and The Plain White T's as well as country music star Cheyenne.

"This is a chance of a lifetime for one lucky country fan and another example of Six Flags bringing the best in top-name entertainment to all of our guests."
Jackson's 17th highly-anticipated album GOOD TIME, released March 4, will debut at #l on the Billboard Top 200 & the Billboard Country Album charts next week, his fourth album to hit the top spots simultaneously on week of release. Alan has sold more than 49 million albums to date and has been honored with fifteen Academy of Country Music Awards during his career. In 2006, Alan topped the album charts twice with Precious Moments and Like Red on a Rose. GOOD TIME is his first album of all country material since 2004's What I Do.
"I wanted a contest for my fans that's just plain fun -- so they could have a Good Time!" said Jackson.
