NEW YORK, NY -- 10/20/09 --
Correlsense, a leading provider of IT Reliability(TM)
solutions through business transaction management, today announced as
part of its SharePath Fall 2009 release it has added Application Domain
Support. With this new capability, application owners, application
performance and IT operations managers can analyze how application
transactions perform across the different components of the data center. It
will also provide information for how each application's transactions can
be fine-tuned, in order to optimize performance and reduce costs.
SharePath is used by
enterprises to monitor business transactions, rapidly pinpoint and solve
performance problems and gain unprecedented insights from detecting the
correlation of end-user experience, applications, infrastructure, and
business processes.
For the Line of Business or Application Owner, the new Application Domain
Support feature can zoom in on the location of the infrastructure or
application components where the business transaction or business service
is beginning to degrade. By displaying this information visually to the
appropriate support teams enables them to address the problem proactively
before SLAs are violated.
Application Domain support also provides Application Owners and Application
Support teams the application-specific views they need even when multiple
applications are using shared or virtualized infrastructure.
Additionally, for IT managers, the new Application Domains support allows
accurate charge-backs by applications, as the view of transaction activity
or transaction workload can be provided for each application. Moreover,
capacity planners can have application specific views to see the trends or
anomalies within transaction activity, based on which they can accurately
plan ahead.
SharePath Fall 2009 also extended its SharePath RUM (Real User Measurements) capabilities
providing more granular rendering and network latency measurements
targeting behavior associated with web applications on the end-user
browser.
With SharePath RUM, application teams can ensure their application is being
delivered in a consistent manner across different web browsers. In
addition, application performance managers can quickly identify and locate
whether a performance problem is inside the data center, on the public
Internet, or if it is a browser rendering issue. SharePath RUM is natively
integrated into SharePath providing true, unprecedented end-to-end insights
on how every single transaction performs from an end-user's browser,
through every hop in the datacenter, and back to the user's browser.
Correlsense recently announced SharePath RUM is available free for a one year term
license, though some professional services fees (up to 10 days maximum) may
be required. Full support and maintenance will be provided by Correlsense.

About Correlsense
Correlsense SharePath
provides a breakthrough in IT Reliability(TM)
by enabling for the first time both a birds-eye and detailed view of how
business transactions perform across the four dimensions (4D) of end-users,
applications, infrastructure and business processes. While other service
management and performance management applications focus on identifying
problems at individual components (servers, data bases, etc.), SharePath
automatically detects and traces each entire transaction path, from a click
in the browser through all its hops across data center tiers. With the
ability to record and correlate individual transaction activations across
both physical and virtual components, IT gains full visibility of the
transaction metrics required to ensure IT Reliability(TM) for packaged,
homegrown, and hosted applications. The rich data from SharePath is used by
major enterprises to rapidly pinpoint and solve problems and to gain
unprecedented insights for their IT Service Management initiatives such as
ITIL. For more information please visit www.correlsense.com.
