Coates International, Ltd. (the “Company” or “Coates”) (OTCBB: COTE) - is pleased to announce that Coates was awarded four new patents in the Republic of China, and was awarded eighteen patents in the USA to date, with more than one hundred corresponding patents worldwide. This means that the Coates Spherical Rotary Valve (CSRV) Engines and technology is protected by full patents in the US and around the world.
- The development of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) and Propane CSRV engines are completed.
- Diesel CSRV Industrial Heavy Truck Engine is complete. New technology developed on the Coates CSRV Diesel Engine is novel and new US patents are applied for.
- Various smaller CSRV engines, such as auto engines, have been completed for a number of years.
- The company is poised for production of all its new products.

The Company is in talks with officials of various states in the US regarding the utilization of the CSRV engines for numerous natural gas and alternative fuel applications.

Coates has completed development of its patented spherical rotary valve CSRV Industrial Internal Combustion Engine, developed over a period of more than 6 years and other CSRV applications over 10 years. The underlying CSRV technology was invented by George J. Coates and his son Gregory. The CSRV system is adaptable to combustion engines of many types. This technology is currently adapted to a number of practical applications including industrial generators powered by engines incorporating the CSRV technology and designed to run on flare-off gas from oil wells, landfill gas and raw natural gas.
