SAN DIEGO - (Business Wire) To ensure its growing customer base can successfully transition from paper to computerized inpatient documentation in treating active military and veteran patients, CliniComp Intl. has entered into an agreement with Multi-Services Group International (MSGI) Corp., a premier information technology and systems engineering firm headquartered in Tampa, Fla.

MSGI will enable CliniComp, a global provider of clinical documentation systems, to expand its breadth of expert training services to military treatment facilities in support of the company’s contract with the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) for inpatient documentation solution implementation and sustainment.

“We are excited to assist CliniComp achieve their business goals of customer service excellence for their growing government clientele,” said Angel “Hank” Cintron, president and CEO, MSGI Corp. “MSGI Corp. has a pool of more than 120 health information system trainers. They each have 30-plus years working in military or civilian or both healthcare businesses and up to 15 years of training experience. They are ready to help military healthcare professionals optimize their Essentris® EMR implementation to generate the greatest ongoing return on investment.”

MSGI is an approved Department of Defense (DoD) provider of training on software programs to military personnel. For the one-year term, the MSGI contractors, who have a solid working knowledge of the Military Healthcare System (MHS), will train more than 4,000 providers, nurses and ancillary staff at four Army medical sites. The ancillary staff includes pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, psychology, social work, patient administration division, physical therapy, occupational therapy and nutrition care staff.

The MSGI training will augment CliniComp’s Super User training program. It will also encompass end-user as well as “over the shoulder” clinical training to support health care professionals stationed on wards when the Essentris inpatient clinical documentation solution is activated.

CliniComp’s contract with MSGI supports its aggressive corporate growth since being named in September as MHS’ inpatient clinical documentation provider for all military treatment facilities. CliniComp is already implementing electronic medical records throughout 63 acute care military treatment facilities worldwide.

Said Alan Portela, CliniComp’s President, “As our sales and market share in enterprise clinical documentation systems continue to rise, working with MSGI will expand the breadth of CliniComp’s client support services to meet a growing demand for training on the Essentris suite.”
