TAMPA, Fla. - (Business Wire) Persystent Software, developers of the fastest PC recovery products on the market, today announced that Clin-Path Associates has chosen Persystent Suite to help accelerate the deployment of new PCs for its team of pathologists and administrative staff. In line with its business expansion projects, Clin-Path leveraged the rapid imaging capabilities of Persystent Suite to shorten the time required to rebuild its fleet of HP computers. “Persystent cut down the provisioning time from an entire day to under two hours,” according to Jayson Jackson, who runs a one-person IT department at Clin-Path, and also serves as a new site construction manager. “In the past, we used Ghost, but it didn’t serve our needs as we needed a vendor who could rebuild close to 100 PCs as quickly as possible.”
While IT professionals are used to wearing many hats, Jackson has an especially diverse and challenging set of job responsibilities at Clin-Path Associates. In fact, according to Jackson, about 40 percent of his day is currently spent managing a major construction project. “Our business tripled in size and since I used to travel the world building call centers, it made sense for me to be put in charge of the building project,” said Jackson. “I manage all the contractors myself, including the general contractor, electricians, plumbers, HVAC and dry wall companies as well as the IT infrastructure. Of course, if anyone has any kind of computer issue, I’m the one they call.”
Jackson credits Persystent Software and its rapid imaging capabilities for taking a big weight off his shoulders at an especially busy time for him and the company. “Thanks to Persystent, I’m not feeling the pressure of expansion. I only use it for imaging because that’s our need here and I love it. It’s a great product. I basically strip out the machine and then load the corporate configuration.” According to Jackson, the core configuration for the computers he’s rebuilding includes Microsoft Office 7, a third party tool for doctors and various small applications.
