Pre-owned Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge Brands to be Marketed by Internet Giant - On-line hub to provide 12 million* monthly visitors with Chrysler's Brand Spankin' Used(R) U.S. Certified Pre-Owned selection
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler LLC today announced
a partnership with eBay to list their U.S. Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Certified
Pre-Owned (CPO) inventory on the new eBay Motors' Certified Pre-Owned
Showroom. The eBay Motors' CPO Showroom is a new online hub, designed to house
a franchised dealer's certified used-vehicle inventory. It will now provide
its 12 million* monthly unique visitors with a selection of over 15,000
late-model, low-mileage, fully inspected and reconditioned used Chrysler, Jeep
and Dodge vehicles complete with factory-backed warranties, a free CARFAX
vehicle history report, road-side assistance, rental car allowances and more.
The Chrysler LLC Certified Pre-Owned Program, marketed as Brand Spankin'
Used, is the industry's only factory-certified pre-owned program to have set
new sales records every year since its inception in 2002. In 2007, Chrysler
LLC reported the sale of over 122,000 CPO units** through their franchised
dealerships across the country, an increase of 5 percent over 2006. May 2008
sales are up 13 percent, with overall 2008 year to date sales up 8 percent.
Over the years, Chrysler's CPO brand has and will continue to partner with
third-party search engines such as Cars.com and AutoTrader.com in an effort to
help their dealers promote the sale of Certified Pre-Owned units.

The new eBay Motors CPO Showroom will enable consumers to view certified
pre-owned inventory from Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealers within their local
area via a classified listings format. A participating dealers' CPO inventory
automatically uploads utilizing OEM-customized templates and dealers interact
with customers via existing customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Consumers, in turn, can communicate with dealers directly and through the eBay
Motors platform.
