Nurseries (OAN) is gearing up for its third annual Le Tour des Plants, A
Gardener's Excursion, Sept. 13-21, 2008. More than 35 garden centers and
nurseries from the Eugene, Corvallis, Salem and greater Portland areas to
Woodland, Wash. will showcase innovative ideas, new plants and the best in
fall gardening.
The 2008 Le Tour des Plants will feature more than 150 events throughout
the nine-day gardening excursion. Activities at the various garden centers
and specialty nurseries include display garden tours, festivals, workshops,
wine tasting and family-friendly entertainment such as music and barbecues.
"Le Tour des Plants is a free, fun self-guided excursion for gardeners
that we created to inspire fall gardening among new and avid gardeners alike,"
