MINNEAPOLIS - (Business Wire) Capella Education Company, a provider of exclusively online post-secondary education through its wholly owned subsidiary Capella University, announced today that Kyle Carpenter has been appointed to the position of senior vice president of strategy and business development. Carpenter will be responsible for the company’s annual strategic planning process as well as operational leadership of Capella's business development activities, including learning strategies, external relations, future learning technologies, alliances and acquisitions, and new growth platforms. Carpenter brings more than 30 years of business strategy and development experience to his new role. He most recently served as president and CEO of Boxcar Holdings LLC, a private equity firm with holdings in the entertainment, real estate, and printing industries. Previously, Carpenter served as president & CEO of Electrosonic Group, an international business providing comprehensive digital media solutions and services; and held numerous vice president roles at Honeywell, an international business leader in diversified technology and manufacturing.
