Camp Olympia Junior Golf Camp for Boys and Girls Hosts International Amateur Golf Tournament

The 2009 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship welcomes two male and two female golfers from twenty different countries. To recognize the cultural diversity of the tournament participants, all of the activities celebrate the global representation with international-themed parties including foods and music from around the world.

“The experience of the Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship at Camp Olympia is designed to be fun and bring all international participants together and make new friendships,” said Lorena Ochoa, 2001 Spirit triple gold medal winner and LPGA superstar.

About Camp Olympia

Established in 1968, Camp Olympia is an overnight Texas summer camp for boys and girls located on Lake Livingston in Trinity, Texas; just 100 miles north of Houston. Camp Olympia campers choose from over 35 camp activities, ranging from golf to waterskiing to horseback riding, so they participate in activities that interest them. Camp Olympia Junior Golf Academy campers receive daily PGA instruction at Whispering Pines Golf Course.
