MARLBOROUGH, MA -- 05/09/08 -- Camiant, Inc., the leading provider of policy control and application assurance technology to service providers worldwide, today announced that Founder and Chief Technology Officer Susie Kim Riley will be a guest speaker at Light Reading Live! The Future of Broadband 2008 conference being held at The Westin Time Square in New York City on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Susie Kim Riley will join Heavy Reading Chief Analyst Graham Finnie in a debate on "Broadband QOS or Broadband QOE?" which will run from 2:50 p.m. - 3:40 p.m. EDT.

The Future of Broadband 2008 conference will help next-generation broadband service providers determine what new technologies, services and capabilities to prioritize as they move forward. The conference will provide a definitive view of the trends that will shape broadband services through 2010 and beyond. The conference is founded on the premise that broadband service providers are now facing critical investment decisions that could determine their success over the next decade.

Many broadband service providers are deploying tools that improve the performance of their own new services, especially for video and VoIP. But customers want a good overall quality of experience when using these broadband services. The Broadband QOS or Broadband QOE debate will focus on the best ways to cost-effectively meet all of an individual user's needs and how policy servers and other new tools can help achieve this. Graham Finnie will present the results of a recent survey of service providers' opinions on policy management QOS, and discusses the issues with Susie Kim Riley.
