PALO ALTO, Calif. - (Business Wire) BlogHer, Inc. (www.blogher.com), one of the top womens online networks and the Webs number-one guide to blogs by women, today released an exclusive audio interview with Carly Fiorina. In the interview Fiorina discusses her role in John McCains presidential campaign, and shares her perspective on issues ranging from todays economy to healthcare, the medias handling of Hillary Clintons candidacy, and todays Republican Party. The audio interview is part of BlogHers ongoing Elections 2008 program and can be found in its entirety at the following link: http://www.blogher.com/podcast-blogher-spoke-carly-fiorina

The 2008 election is a landmark for women in politics as they have played an integral role as voters, politicians and campaigners. I am proud to be from a country where women can play a vital part in the election process, said Fiorina. BlogHer and other active online communities are playing a much larger role in this election as well. With the shift in media consumption, more and more voters are turning to the web specifically blogs for their news.

The interview with Carly Fiorina, conducted by BlogHer co-founder and CEO Lisa Stone, consists primarily of questions directly from the diverse BlogHer community, and supports BlogHers position as a non-partisan organization that represents individuals from a full spectrum of political beliefs.

"There's a strong appetite for Election 2008 news among the nine million unique visitors the BlogHer network reaches every month. By directly responding to questions posted by bloggers in a public site, Carly Fiorina made an important statement about the value the Republican Party places on these voters, their opinions, and the communities they reach on their blogs," said Stone. "I think our community will be particularly interested to hear her opinion of Sen. McCain's economic and health care policies, given her experience as one of the world's most prominent businesswoman -- as well as her comments about Candidate Hillary Clinton's treatment in the press."

In March 2008, Carly Fiorina was appointed Victory '08 Chairman for the Republican National Committee. In this role, she is the primary advocate for John McCain and the Republican Party. Utilizing her vital business experience, she will travel the country speaking on behalf of Senator McCain and will emphasize his efforts to create jobs for working families and set the conditions for economic growth. Fiorina is a best-selling author, sought-after speaker, business commentator, and strategic advisor.

Fiorina was the first and, to date, only woman to lead a Fortune 20 company. Serving as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard Company from 1999 to 2005, she led the reinvention of the legendary company, steering it through the dot-com bust, the worst technology recession in 25 years and the controversial merger with Compaq Computer. Fiorina took an unconventional route to becoming a corporate titan, starting as a medieval history major, a law school dropout and a secretary. In addition to an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, she holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a Masters of Science in Business from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition to the featured podcast with Carly Fiorina, BlogHers community developed a Voter Manifesto, which is a list of non-partisan questions for the candidates across four topic areas of intense interest to the community: the War in Iraq, Healthcare, the Environment and Our Economic Future. BlogHer also has contributing editors credentialed to attend and live-blog debates, speeches and conventions on the campaign trail. BlogHers Election 2008 coverage can be found at the following link: http://www.blogher.com/special-events/election-2008.
