Electronics, household goods, and clothes aren't the only products on sale this Black Friday. High ticket items such as airplanes are cashing in on the busiest shopping day of the year.
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) November 27, 2009 -- On Friday, most of America will be trudging the malls looking for deals on electronics, household goods, and clothes. But could the idea of waking up early on Friday morning to buy a high ticket item, like an airplane, work? One aircraft sales dealership is willing to bet that it will.
One of the largest aircraft sales organizations in the country is about to change the way airplane customers buy on Black Friday. Florida based Premier Aircraft Sales will man the phones from 4 a.m. through midnight on Friday to handle calls from airplane purchasers looking for a bargain.
Ryan Ramos, sales manager at Premier Aircraft Sales, said, “No one ever thinks about big ticket items available on sale during Black Friday. The idea to offer a Black Friday special on airplanes came to me after reading an article online about a little known fact that the best day to buy a car is on Black Friday.”
Premier Aircraft Sales offered a sneak preview of the Black Friday special pricing and the phones began to ring off the hook with customers looking to seize the deal of a lifetime. Some of the discounts are as high as $100,000 off the retail price.
Ramos continues, “I think we are the first aircraft sales company in history to offer a Black Friday sale. High end buyers want a deal like anyone else, but they are not going to wait outside in the cold at 4 a.m. to save $5 on a toaster when they can save $100,000 on an airplane.”
He went on to explain that due to one of the worst economic downturns in history, today’s consumers are always looking for an incredible deal, even if that deal happens to be a half million dollar airplane. Typically high ticket items such as airplanes and yachts are not offered on sale, but the economy is forcing dealers to lower prices until demand increases.
“We are already seeing a significant increase in airplane sales, but we are nowhere near 2007 levels where we couldn’t keep up with demand. If the economy is still on the rebound next Thanksgiving, I wouldn’t be surprised next year if we see other industries such as housing, boating or other aircraft dealerships jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon. Maybe next year you will be able to get that house you always wanted on Black Friday.” Ramos said.
