ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - (Business Wire) Bio-Tec Environmental, the leading manufacturer of biodegradable plastic additives, unveils an exclusive with Concept Amenities Pty Ltd to create a range of biodegradable hotel guest amenity packaging.

EcoPure™, Bio-Tec Environmental’s second generation additive, makes plastic biodegradable when placed in an anaerobic environment. It is a safe, non-toxic, organic-based additive that allows microbes to break down hydrocarbons into fatty acids then to biomass. Plastic material made with EcoPure™ biodegrades in landfills in just years rather than several centuries, allowing the manmade polymers to return to the cycle of nature.

EcoPure™ is easy to use. It is added in during production just as color concentrates are, allowing the use of the same resin and same process without the need for re-engineering. The final product has the same characteristics as the original made without EcoPure™, but it is now more environmentally friendly.

By adding EcoPure™ to its packaging, Concept Amenities Pty Ltd is at the forefront in creating products that show a social conscience. Now both the products and the containers they come in are environmentally safe. They are known as “ERPs” or “Environmentally Responsible Products.” Independent testing shows that ERP products are 100% biodegradable and will break down in landfills. ERP liquid and soaps will be available in several levels of quality. The goal of ERPs is to eliminate sulfates, parabens, DMDM hydantoin, propylene glycol, DEA & TEA, and mineral oil in their products.
