HIMX also issued earnings guidance for next quarter that is below current analyst expectations. If we compare last quarter's earnings to the $0.09 the company made per share during the same quarter a year ago, you can see that HIMX’s earnings are down this year.

Technitrol, Inc. (NYSE:TNL) decreased 16.73% to $6.52 on over 1.65 million shares after the company announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly shareholder dividend of $0.025 per common share, an amount equal to that declared in the previous quarter, payable January 15, 2010 to shareholders of record on January 1, 2010. The Company announced that it expects fourth quarter 2009 revenues from continuing operations to increase modestly from third quarter levels to between $103 million and $106 million.
