One of America's Top Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities partners with Central Texas College to complete bachelor's degrees online and on-ground. Dr. Patricia Long, President of Baker University, recently signed and approved an articulation agreement that will allow military personnel and their spouses who graduate from Central Texas College to continue their education by enrolling in Baker University's on-ground and online degree programs for working adults.

Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) November 7, 2009 -- Dr. Patricia Long, President of Baker University, recently signed and approved an articulation agreement that will allow military personnel and their spouses who graduate from Central Texas College to continue their education by enrolling in Baker University's on-ground and online degree programs for working adults.

Central Texas College (CTC) has served the military from its central base in Killeen for 40 years, expanding to provide a range of educational opportunities to military personnel worldwide. Baker University now will provide one more option to all CTC students, including military personnel, so that they can continue to earn their four-year degrees no matter where they are deployed.

Baker University supports our military by offering a reduction of up to 50 percent in tuition rates for all active duty military and a 25 percent tuition discount for military spouses, plus a waiver on the $45 application fee. The university also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program with the Department of Veterans Affairs, providing tuition benefits of $500/year for undergraduate and $1,000/year for graduate programs for eligible students.

"I look forward to helping CTC students transition into programs within the School of Professional and Graduate Studies. We have many accelerated online degree options to offer students, regardless of their locations or schedules," said Marvin Hunt, dean of Baker's School of Professional and Graduate Studies (SPGS).

The SPGS program for working adults offers degrees in business, management, leadership, and conflict management and dispute resolution. Because of the accelerated format, most programs can be completed in about two years.

In addition to on-ground programs at several locations in Kansas and Missouri, SPGS also offers several online degree programs, including a Bachelor of Arts in Business Leadership and its prestigious M.B.A. program, ranked among the top 10 online M.B.A. programs by CoursePal. Students learn from instructors who hold advanced degrees and are practicing professionals in both the public and private sector.

Founded in 1858, Baker University is recognized as one of the best colleges and universities in the country. The Princeton Review consistently ranks Baker in the top 30 colleges in the Midwest within its peer group. The university has been continually accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1913.

Baker has provided specialized programs for adult learners since 1975. For more information on Baker University's School of Professional and Graduate Studies, visit www.bakerU.edu/spgs or call (800) 995-7747.
