OKLAHOMA CITY - (Business Wire) Aaron’s Bridge, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, is excited to announce that it will receive at least 10 percent of the management fees generated from OOK Advisors’ Oklahoma Exchange-Traded Fund (OOK) and Texas Exchange-Traded Fund (TXF). Aaron’s Bridge was established in 2008 to facilitate access to more treatment options in the southwest region for children with developmental disabilities, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder. Recently, two government studies reported about one in 100 children are now diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder – significantly higher than a previous U.S. estimate of one in 150.
“Aaron’s Bridge is working to provide Oklahomans with more treatment options,” said State Rep. Kris Steele. “Many children and families are affected by autism, and I believe the center will provide important and much-needed resources in this state.”
Named for their son Aaron, who is affected by autism, Keith and Joni Geary founded Aaron’s Bridge to provide families with hope of a brighter future for their children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Gearys donated $100,000 in seed funding and are developing plans to open a facility in the Oklahoma City area similar to The Thoughtful House Center for Children in Austin, Texas.
“As OOK and TXF grow, Aaron’s Bridge will move closer and closer to opening in Oklahoma by employing doctors, clinicians and therapists to provide the desperately needed care for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder,” said Keith Geary.
“The ongoing support from OOK and TXF will help Aaron’s Bridge to accomplish its vision of a comprehensive care facility, including a medical clinic and diagnostic laboratory, research facility, therapeutic services, education and respite care for families,” said Joni Geary.
