MINNEAPOLIS - (Business Wire) Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz) today announced a $9,000 contribution to Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) as part of their Make A Difference (MAD) Volunteer Project. Founded in 1987, Coon Rapids, Minn.-based FMSC is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding starving children in both body and spirit. In addition to the donation, 90 Allianz employees will visit Feed My Starving Children today to assist in packing more than 3,200 meals. “The MAD volunteer projects provide opportunities to work with amazing organizations like Feed My Starving Children,” said Vice President of Human Resources Kirk Williams. “Allianz is thrilled to donate the $9,000 contribution from our employee-sponsored fund, but we’re even more excited that so many employees wanted to volunteer their time.” The Allianz Make a Difference (MAD) Volunteer Project encourages employees to participate in a volunteer activity or project in groups of five or more with a local nonprofit organization. The program enhances Allianz employees’ affect on the community – both from a monetary and a volunteer aspect.
