Allianz Contributes $50,000 In Support of Midwest Firefighters

Allianz awarded grants include:

• Waseca Fire Department received $22,500 to refurbish a water-tanker truck.
• Webb Lake Fire and Rescue was awarded $4,730 for fire hoses and floating pumps.
• Alexandria Fire Department received $6,381 to help purchase a hydraulic cribbing system.
• St Paul Fire Department was granted $16,240 to purchase certified EMS jackets.

“Allianz commitment to our communities comes alive through programs like these, which allow us to provide broader life-saving support,” said Nancy Jones, Allianz chief marketing officer. “We help build stronger, safer, and more vibrant communities through these contributions, and the Bucket Brigade allows Allianz employees to nominate a local fire department.”

The Allianz Heritage program also focuses on providing funds for needed firefighter training and community education programs. It is an extension of the acclaimed Fireman’s Fund Heritage^® program, started in 2004 by Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. Both Allianz and Fireman’s Fund are subsidiaries of Allianz SE, a global financial services company based in Munich, Germany. The Allianz Heritage program encourages company employees and distribution partners to become more involved in their communities by nominating fire departments for grants.
