CARLSBAD, Calif. - (Business Wire) Advanced Warning Systems, Inc. today announced its partnership with MedApps, Inc. to deliver the FDA-cleared MedApps Mobile Health Monitoring System, featuring HealthPal, to transmit, store and report timely, accurate health information anywhere.

The HealthPal device makes biometric readings collected from retail medical monitors (e.g. glucose meters, blood pressure monitors) available for remote monitoring by clinicians, family members and other caregivers.

Advanced Warning Systems (AWS) provides transparent easy to use telehealth services to patients and doctors. The company promotes disease management and personal wellness through its established relationships with alliance partners, like MedApps, and company proprietary technology. The AWS solutions offers patients and doctors a way to access, transfer, and secure patient health data while simultaneously delivering health alerts, monitoring support, training, video-conferencing, and health education content through a web-based infrastructure.

“The partnership with MedApps fits nicely with the multi-adaptive solutions AWS offers,” President and CEO of Advanced Warning Systems, Miles Moore, says. “The alliance was an easy choice for us because the MedApps devices tied to the AWS solutions truly are mobile – just like people. This mobility is what patients want and need if they are going to better manage their health.”

Advanced Warning Systems and MedApps share a unique outlook within the healthcare sector. Rather than just seeing a market and trying to insert the latest technology into that market, these companies are focused on the person and ultimately what he or she needs. Kent Dicks, MedApps CEO & Founder, says, “At MedApps, we feel one solution does not fit all. We strive to deliver a system that is flexible, and easy to use for young and old alike, those with disabilities, and those individuals who may not be the most comfortable with technology. All of these people can use a little help to keep healthy, that is why we come to work every day and do what we do.”
