Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announced today that
Admiral William Fallon, USN (Ret), Commander, USCENTCOM (2007-2008) will give a keynote presentation at
IDGA’s 8th Annual NCW Conference.
NCW 2009 will take place January 27
– 30, 2009 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
Admiral Fallon will speak to conference attendees beginning at 1:30pm on Thursday, January 29, 2009. He will assess operations in the Middle East and how network centric capabilities will increase mission success and improve regional stability.
William J. Fallon has led US and Allied forces in eight separate commands and played a leadership role in military and diplomatic matters at the highest levels of the US government. As head of US Central Command, Admiral Fallon directed all US military operations in the Middle East, Central Asia and Horn of Africa, focusing on combat efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also led the US Pacific Command for two years, directing political-military activities in the Asia-Pacific region. His achievements include a resumption of military engagement with China, new outreach to India, a new agreement on a strategic framework with Japan, and humanitarian assistance to the victims of the 2006 Tsunami in SE Asia. He also served as Presidential Envoy to Japan, handling bi-lateral relations after the collision of a US submarine and a Japanese fishing vessel.
