BALTIMORE, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced that leading UK law firm Addleshaw Goddard has selected Metastorm BPM to streamline its new client acquisition process, commonly known as client matter inception.
"Metastorm BPM is a well established product with a long track record of success. After reviewing other vendors and talking with existing Metastorm customers, it was clear that the Metastorm BPM platform was the right strategic decision for us," said Daniel Simms, Head of IT Technical Solutions, Addleshaw Goddard. "Metastorm's platform offered the best scalability, flexibility and integration with our existing systems. We intend to leverage this to develop state of the art internal and client facing processes."
Addleshaw Goddard will deploy Metastorm's Client Matter Inception Process Pod developed by Metastorm's UK strategic partner Tikit, a leading supplier of software and service to the legal industry. The Pod is built on the Metastorm BPM platform and benefits from capabilities such as audit trail, risk assessment, Lexcel compliance and anti money laundering -- all of which are essential elements of the client matter inception process.
Previously, Addleshaw Goddard had used a largely paper-based workflow system it developed in-house, but found it was difficult to track the status of activity and control quality. It wanted to create a more efficient environment to track client matters, improve quality control and reduce risk by providing an audit trail of due diligence. Addleshaw Goddard chose the Metastorm BPM platform from Tikit after reviewing a number of suppliers.
"Client matter inception is a core process to any legal firm's business and critical to its client relations," said Robin Martin, vice president international operations, Metastorm. "We believe that the Metastorm platform will enable Addleshaw Goddard to empower its employees with the tools to increase accuracy, deliver better productivity, efficiencies and improve customer service."
Tikit has been working closely with Addleshaw Goddard to develop and implement Metastorm BPM, which will be tightly integrated with its existing infrastructure and core business systems. It will also extend Metastorm BPM access to lawyers' wireless handheld Blackberry devices, further maximizing productivity.
