SACRAMENTO, Calif. - (Business Wire) The Association of California Water Agencies
’ (ACWA) annual Legislative Symposium is set for Wednesday, March 26 at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento. The program will explore key water supply issues facing California and how legislators and policy makers plan to address them.
Specific topics to be addressed include water policy priorities for 2008, proposed water bond packages, conservation and potential moves to tap local property tax revenues to fill holes in the state budget.
Panelists include State Sen. Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento), Sen. Dave Cogdill (R-Modesto), California Urban Water Conservation Council Executive Director Chris Brown, Natural Resources Defense Council Senior Policy Analyst Ronnie Cohen, Helix Water District General Manager Mark Weston, California Alliance for Jobs Executive Director Jim Earp, Western Growers Association Government Affairs Analyst Erin Field, LegiSight, LLC President Steven E.
