Accomplished Toy Executive Joins PlaSmart Team

PlaSmart Inc. is pleased to announce Sam Armstrong has been appointed as their Chief of Operations (COO) a newly created position within PlaSmart.

Ottawa, ON, Canada (PRWEB) November 8, 2009 -- PlaSmart Inc., one of Canada's fastest growing companies according to Profit 100 magazine, has recruited Sam Armstrong, a 20 year veteran of the toy industry as their new COO in order to provide his expertise and knowledge to ensure their ability to continue their rapid growth in a sustainable and profitable manner. Armstrong will oversee daily operational functions and support sales and marketing.

Sam Armstrong brings over 20 years of executive experience and has proven his ability to analyze operations and growth opportunities. During his tenure as CEO of Schleich North America he was directly responsible for successfully introducing this European brand into North America working with both specialty and major accounts including Tpys R'Us., Target, Indigo and Tractor Supply Company. He also created Schleich's first brand store within FAO Schwarz and oversaw a similar brand store concept at TRU Times Square in New York City. Prior to Schleich he owned his own Canadian toy company successfully launching it into the North American market as well as working with a number of leading retailers creating private label toys.
