Accellera, the electronics
industry organization focused on Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
standards, invites the electronic design community to nominate an
individual for its 7th annual Technical Excellence Award. Accellera's Technical
Excellence Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of its
Technical Subcommittee members in creating electronic design standards that
benefit the EDA, semiconductor, intellectual property (IP) and electronic
systems industries.
When/Where
Accellera's Technical
Excellence Award nominations are due Monday, January 18, 2010.
Accellera's Technical Excellence Award is presented during Accellera's Design Verification Conference (DVCon),
February 23-25, 2010, at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, California.

About Accellera EDA and IP Standards
Accellera provides a framework that enables the technical work of its
committees, logistics and the infrastructure for obtaining and distributing
funds and resources for EDA and IP standards, that when approved are
available to everyone in the electronics community at no cost.
On June 11, 2009, EDA industry organizations, Accellera and The SPIRIT Consortium,
announced that the organizations' Boards agreed to a merger of the two entities. The union improves the
development of language-based and IP standards. Both organizations are
aligned on the path to formalize standards through the IEEE.
Currently eight standardization subcommittees are operating. These
standards include: SystemRDL(TM) (Register Description Language),
IPtagging, Interface Technical Committee (ITC), Open Verification Library
(OVL), Unified Coverage Interoperability (UCI), Verilog Analog/Mixed Signal
(AMS), Verification IP (VIP) and IP-XACT(TM).

verification standards for quick availability and use in the electronics
industry. The organization and its members cooperatively deliver
much-needed EDA standards that lower the cost of designing commercial IC
and EDA products. As a result of Accellera's partnership with the IEEE,
Accellera standards are transferred to the IEEE standards body for
