SANTA PAULA, Calif. - (Business Wire) Abrisa, the global leader in glass fabrication and thin film optical coatings will introduce two new glass and coating products for the Society for Information Display (SID) exhibition at Abrisa’s Booth #746, May 31 – June 5, 2009, in San Antonio, TX.

Abrisa’s advanced infrared (IR) Blocking Hot Mirror protects liquid crystal displays from solar heat and radiation. The optical filter minimizes radiation and reduces the temperature in outdoor-use LCD applications, extending the life of the display. The IR Blocker also eliminates “black-out” that is common when viewing any unprotected LCD under bright, daylight conditions.

LuxVu Heated Optical Windows are the newest product in Abrisa’s line of transparent conductive coatings. The heated windows are designed to keep the optical glass free from moisture and fog; the heated windows also aid in de-icing in extreme weather conditions. Ideal for imaging, sensing, and display applications in rugged, wet, or cold outdoor environments – visit www.abrisa.com for more info.
