ABBYY USA Names Steven Kincade Vice President of Channel Sales for North America

FREMONT, Calif., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ABBYY, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture and linguistic software, today announced that it has appointed Steven Kincade as the ABBYY USA vice president of channel sales for North America. As head of the value added reseller (VAR) and retail sales teams, Steven will apply his 19 years of sales experience to expand the channel sales team, build on sales growth momentum in existing markets, and identify and penetrate new markets.
A Fortune 250, high technology, wireless sales and strategic marketing leader, Steven is a seasoned veteran of the C-level hardware, software, solutions sales, marketing and operations spaces. His extensive background in leadership roles includes positions with Intermec Technologies Corporation, Symbol Technologies Inc., Research in Motion and Motorola Inc. Steven's passion for building and leading high performance teams will be essential to his role with ABBYY in managing corporate and retail sales.

Steven joins ABBYY USA from Fiserv, Inc, where as vice president, national sales and service, he was instrumental in achieving growth of 23 percent over the previous year. While at Fiserv, Steven implemented a new National Retail Account Capture program that motivated direct sales to identify and close seven new major accounts including Wal-Mart, Farm Fresh, Supervalu, HEB and Radio Shack, while increasing service penetration with leading utility industry leaders such as Duke Energy, PG&E, Sempra, AT&T and Bell South.
