AAPC Announces Topics for Workshops and Webinars in 2010

The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) will host four workshops and dozens of webinars in 2010, the organization announced today. As part of its ongoing efforts to provide members and all certified coders with affordable, accessible and timely continuing education, the AAPC has built up its 2010 educational offerings to include workshops in 53 cities across the country and webinars that cover all specialties and must-know medical coding information (i.e., ICD-10, etc.).

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) November 12, 2009 -- The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) will host four workshops and dozens of webinars in 2010, the organization announced today. As part of its ongoing efforts to provide members and all certified coders with affordable, accessible and timely continuing education, the AAPC has built up its 2010 educational offerings to include workshops in 53 cities across the country and webinars that cover all specialties and must-know medical coding information (i.e., ICD-10, etc.).

The topics for the 2010 workshops represent the most popular and needed areas: Stay up-to-date and compliant despite daily guideline changes¯learn the differences between Medicare compliance regulations and other federally mandated compliance regulations, understand the importance of compliance and the consequences for those who do not take it seriously and identify compliance hot spots and how to avoid them.

Each workshop is three hours, and participants can earn up to six continuing education units (CEUs) per workshop with pre- and post-workshop tests.
