"High School Musical 2" has all the ingredients that made its predecessor a huge success last year. Disney has managed to retain the innocence yet make significant progress in this sequel and deserves all the kudos and cash that it will surely get!

The sequel tells the story of the summer break taken by East High's junior class. As expected the focus is on Troy, Gabriella and Sharpay. The latter is attempting to get Troy away from Gabriella and towards this end has managed to get a summer job for Troy at Gabriella's parents country club.

But imagine his horror when sharp-witted Troy gets his sweetheart a lifeguard job and even helps many of his buddies land kitchen jobs. The story heads for the ultimate climax when Troy is again the star of country club's talent show. This time he pairs up with Gabriella in a duet.

How Troy manages to escape from Sharpay's plans and wins Gabriella's heart forms the crux of this hugely entertaining movie.

There are three songs in the movie that deserve special mention; "You Are the Music In Me," "I Don't Dance" and "Gotta Go My Own Way". These songs are in a class of their own and contribute handsomely to the success of the venture.
