Baghdad - Unknown gunmen clad in police uniform kidnapped the Iraqi oil deputy minister from eastern Baghdad on Tuesday, a police source told local press. Abdul Jabbar al-Wagaa was captured from the headquarters of a state-owned company for distributing oil products in Zeyounah neighbourhood, eastern Baghdad, and took him to an unknown place, reported the independent news agency Voices of Iraq.

"Iraqi security forces are searching for the kidnappers," a police source said, without disclosing further details.
