NEW YORK, Aug. 5 One doctor in New York City has learned how to reach his patients fast, even in midday traffic: he gets there by inline skating.
Physician Thomas Bolte, 45, said he began inline skating as a hobby years ago but quickly learned it was the best way to get around town, the New York Post reported.
"Some of these cases are very urgent -- (inline skating) is the only way I can get there fast," said Bolte.
Bolte is known as an in-demand doctor and often gets calls from the MTV network, where he is the on-call doctor. Other clients of Bolte's include United Nations dignitaries and one Oscar-winning actress who reportedly has him on speed dial. But, the Post reported, Bolte also has a roster of elderly and neighborhood patients. Copyright 2007 by UPI
