MIAMI BEACH, Fla., July 22 The nation's largest Hispanic advocacy group says it must reverse the "wave of hate" used to sink the immigration bill in the U.S. Senate last month.

The National Council of La Raza plans to start a campaign to register and mobilize voters and to address "hate" messages spewed by conservative talk shows, La Raza spokeswoman Cecilia Munoz told The Washington Times in a story published Sunday.

"That had an extraordinary impact in the Senate, and as a nation, I don't think we should be comfortable with the fact that the U.S. Senate responded to what was largely a wave of hate," Munoz said.

The council's convention was to continue Sunday with speeches from Democratic presidential hopefuls Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois.

La Raza and our money
By: Carson , Mon, 23 Jul 2007 00:36:58 GMT

This is a complete travesty of everything the United States used to stand for. We are financing La Raza with our tax money and La Raza is supporting candidates. Does anyone but me think this feels a whole lot crooked?

The Federal Government is allowing groups like La Raza access to our money before we are even able to pick up our paychecks and cash them. We are left little to support what we really want it to go for.

It is totally against the principals of the United States of America when you turn a machine like the criminals in the government have against the will of the people.

Here is a partial list of some of the money that has been looted from the American taxpayer. Look down at the end of the article.

A new La Raza funding bill. Another 5 to 10 million for one of their groups! And you've gotta just know other tax money is going to other race groups.
