Nuerburg, Germany - Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen registered the quickest time in the final free practice session Saturday ahead of Sunday's European Formula One Grand Prix. The Finn clocked a time of 1 minute 31.396 seconds for the 5.148- kilometre Nuerburgring circuit, beating championship leader Lewis Hamilton in a McLaren-Mercedes by 0.231 seconds.
Defending champion Fernando Alonso in the second McLaren was third fastest with BMW-Sauber's Robert Kubica fourth and Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari fifth.
McLaren lead Ferrari in the constructors' standings by 128 to 104 points after nine of 17 races.
In the drivers' championship, Hamilton and Alonso reign supreme with 70 and 58 points, respectively. Raikkonen has 52, one point ahead of Massa.
