Oslo - A Norwegian man and his daughter were Friday reported to have managed to buy a display copy of the final novel in the Harry Potter series despite a strict worldwide release date set for Saturday. Arne Holmen and his 17-year-old daughter Natalie Severinsen on Wednesday bought the copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at a bookstore in Tromso, northern Norway, the Bladet Tromso newspaper reported.
Holmen, 36, was quoted as saying it was "pretty cool" to be among the first to own the book.
A temporary sales clerk in the bookstore who sold the book was apparently unaware of the release date set for Saturday at 0001 British Summer Time (2301 GMT).
