Nuerburg, Germany - Rubens Barrichello will continue racing for the Honda Formula One team in 2008, the Brazilian driver said Thursday on his website. Barrichello, 35, came to Honda in 2006 after six season as team-mate of Michael Schumacher at Ferrari. He has nine race wins, all with Ferrari.
This season he has failed to finish in the points in nine races. The other Honda driver Jenson Button has one point from the French Grand Prix earlier this month.
Barrichello said that Honda was moving "in the right direction" despite the poor results, naming "stability the key for the 2008 challenge."
Honda were due to officially name their 2008 drivers later Thursday in the run-up to the weekend's European Grand Prix at the Nuerburgring.
