Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series are about to be thrilled with an entirely new game – 'Vice City Stories'. This game is designed exclusively for PSPs and has a new storyline, new missions and new gaming experiences that were inspired from the runaway success of the previous game – Liberty City Stories. Publisher Rockstar Games said the game would be available in North America from October 17th onwards and in Europe from October 20th 2006.

The publisher said the tremendous success of Liberty City Stories and the PlayStation Portable's technology prompted them to create “a fresh experience in one of their favorite locales in the GTA series, Vice City”. Founder-producer Sam Houser said GTA was set to once again exceed player expectations with 'Vice City Stories'.

The game was produced by Rockstar Leeds in collaboration with Rockstar North which believes they have been able to surpass “our own goals of what could be done on a handheld” according to company president Leslie Benzes.

As with every GTA game, Vice City Stories also boasts of high production values, an impressive soundtrack and professional voice talent.

It is also expected that the game's developers have taken care to steer away from any trouble with the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB). Fans remember how the censoring authority had enforced an adult rating for the earlier 'GTA: San Andreas' after the 'Hot Coffee' scandal last year.

Many gamers had downloaded 'Hot Coffee' that allowed one to access hidden sex scenes within 'San Andreas' resulting in the ESRB pulling the game off the shelves. Gamers expect the publisher's next game 'Bully' to contain some material that could invite ESRB scrutiny once again. 'Bully' is a tale of a tough 15-yr-old student of the Bullworth Academy. This game would also be available in October.
