PARKLAND, Fla., July 12 A pair of credit card thieves in Florida apparently have a soft spot for a pet cat after allegedly using a stolen American Express card to buy cat food.
Broward County sheriff's deputies said the suspects who allegedly swiped the card from a Cadillac in Parkland, Fla., this month used it to pick up a pack of cigarettes and some 9-Lives cat food.
Deputies told The Miami Herald the burglars have been busy in and around the area -- and have racked up thousands of dollars worth of stolen goods and fraudulent credit card purchases since May.
