ABERDEEN, Scotland, July 11 While wedding guests celebrated at their reception, a Scottish bride was in jail and the groom was at the hospital bleeding from a stiletto heel head wound.

Mark and Teresa Allerton were married at the castle featured in British TV's "Monarch of the Glen" and had slinked away to their bridal suite in an Aberdeen, Scotland, hotel before hitting their wedding reception.

But their first marital spat turned bloody with the groom staggering through the halls with blood spurting from his head where he had been slammed with one of his wife's high-heeled shoes, The Daily Mail reported Wednesday.

He was taken by ambulance to a hospital while the new Mrs. Allerton was hauled to the local police station -- where she spent the next two days cooling her heels, the newspaper said.

After his wife admitted to the April 21 attack in court Tuesday, Allerton said he harbored no ill will toward his spouse.

"I have forgiven her and I love her," he said. "It was something over nothing. Just one of those silly things."
