Singapore - An actor little-known outside of Singapore has landed a major role in the next Batman movie set to hit cinemas in July next year, a broadcast report said on Tuesday. Ng Chin Han, who has been active in Singapore television, films and theatre, will be working with such big names as Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Heath Ledger in the movie, The Dark Knight.

Chin Han told Channel NewsAsia that he feels a little pressure.

"That's the great part about working with these guys," he was quoted as saying. "They obviously come with a great body of work and that's very exciting for me."

The audition process took about six to eight weeks.

"The scrips that they let you read ... are not the scripts for the exact film because everything's so top secret," Chin Han said. You get scripts that are printed on special paper that cannot be photocopied. There are invisible watermarks, all kinds of things."

"You feel like a spy in a James Bond movie when you are looking at these scripts," he added.
