ARLINGTON, Texas, June 22 Sammy Sosa started an eight-run fifth inning with a two-run homer Friday night and ended it with a two-run single as the Texas Rangers mauled Houston, 11-3.Sosa's homer, the 601st of his MLB career, came after Michael Young reached on an infield single to lead off the fifth. Marlon Byrd followed with a home run that drove Woody Williams (3-10) from the game.Sosa came up in the fifth with the bases loaded, and his base hit to right scored Kenny Lofton and Ian Kinsler to give Texas a 10-3 lead.Kevin Millwood (4-6) picked up the win, giving up three runs on nine hits in six innings. Texas had 14 hits with Frank Catalanotto being the only starter not to have one.Houston's Craig Biggio had one hit and moved within seven of reaching the 3,000 mark for his MLB career.Copyright 2007 by UPI
