MUMBAI - A series of explosions ripped across Mumbai's suburban rail network Tuesday evening killing more than 100 people according to the latest reports. The blasts, which occurred in space of 30 minutes, hit the evening rush hour when commuters travel home after work. These blasts occurred at Matunga, Mahim (central Mumbai), Bandra, Khar (in north-west Mumbai), Borivili, Jogeshwari and Mira Road railway stations (in north Mumbai).

Police Commissioner A N Roy said the blasts appeared to be coordinated and the police control rooms were reporting that more than 400 people are injured. He added that "there are more casualty reports coming in." Pranay Prabhakar, the spokesman for the Western Railway, said seven blasts had so far been reported between 1800 to 1830 hrs IST. The first blast hit the railway station in the northwestern suburb of Khar. All blasts appeared to target first class compartments. As bombs exploded, passengers were hurled onto tracks and most of them began jostling to get out resulting in chaos. All train services were suspended following the initial reports.

Police advised residents to stay at home and not venture out. At any cost stay away from the railway stations, seems to be the message. These blasts took place within hours after Islamic militants stuck in Kashmir killing eight people in Srinagar.

All major cities in the country are on high alert following the attacks. "We have a fair number of casualties, 20 dead bodies have reached the KM Hospital, there are more casualties. The city is on high alert," A.N. Roy, the Bombay police commissioner said.

    what will happen now?
    By: raj , Wed, 12 Jul 2006 06:59:30 GMT

    what needs to be done
1.Kill the terrorists as soon as they are found, eliminate any people who support these terrorist no question asked, kill them, need strong law. Shoot at sight orders in case certain group of people revolt the arrest, elimination ( Muslims are know to follow these processes).
2.Strike Pakistan POK, or even internal Pakistan, where as per the Army terrorist activities are still breeding.
3.Get new Gadgets to scan people.
4.Scan Each and every Muslim, 99% of the terrorist have Muslim Tags. Not all Muslims are bad but many are.

    What will done

1.Prime minister has already given statement he will fight the terrorists, how and when that even he or Sonia does not know.
2.Request people to go on job, school should remain open, business, work should go on. This is how you fight the terrorist. Mumbai is the highest tax payer state in India. So I guess every one should work irrespective of what calamities happen.
3.Praise the good work of the people who helped, raise the sprit of Mumbai. Tell the whole world they even after this Un- Natural Disaster Mumbai is back on its feet's the next next day. This is the sprit of Mumbai the city that never stops.
4.Some people will be caught they will have links to Pakistan. They will be behind bars, some years later they might get free or hanged – not sure.
Thats it, wait for another 10 years for terrorist to repeat the process. This is India, India needs to be like Israel.

If the government does not have any guts leave all for the Army to decide, they can handle the situation better.
