Munich - MINI owners can put a personal stamp on their car by creating their own roof design on the internet. The MINI roof designer tool at www.MINI.com/roof-designer offers a wide choice of 90 designs on a parking deck as an inspiration for a personal design.
In the MINI "workshop" users can play with a 3-D design tool offering numerous background coloured motifs, stripes and patterns.
According to a BMW press statement, the tool is not only open to MINI owners but all MINI fans who want to present their designs to the MINI community.
Once a design choice has been made, the order is placed on the internet. The special roof foil is then applied by a chosen dealer.
So far the MINI Roof Designer tool has only gone online in Italy with Germany and Austria to follow in June and other countries at a later stage.
