TROWBRIDGE, England, June 5 A pair of nude British gardeners said about 350 visitors attended the most recent clothing optional day at their garden and about 300 disrobed for the event.Ian and Barbara Pollard, who gained notoriety as nude gardeners after they appeared on BBC television show "Gardeners' World," said the latest naturist event at their garden Sunday was a rousing success, The Daily Mail reported Tuesday. "This year we are having six 'clothes optional days,' our most ever," said Ian Pollard, 61. "The next is on June 17." Pollard and his wife, 54, said they began the clothing optional days three years ago after requests starting pouring in from like-minded gardeners."At first I said no because we would be responsible for their behavior," he told The Daily Mail. "But in the end we were having so many inquiries we thought why not have set days when they can do it?" Pollard insisted to the newspaper that nude gardening is no more dangerous than the clothed variety."Waving sharp implements around is just as dangerous if you have trousers on or not," he said. What a shame that the author of the article had to use a perjorative term like "notoriety". The Pollards are to be congratulated on their promotion of rational undress.
I suppose that is to be expected from the country that is arguably the most prudish in the western world. It is criminal that people in the USA are so ill informed that they don't know the harm that it does.

Congrats to the Pollards for being on the BBC "Gardeners World."
Nude recreation is a fun activity. We own a nudist resort in Palm Springs, CA called The Terra Cotta Inn. What the Pollards are doing is showing that people can enjoy the outdoors "au naturel."
It is great that they were on the BBC and shared their experiences gardening with others in England.
