KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 31 Baltimore reliever Jamie Walker has rejoined his teammates after the birth of his son, James Leyland Walker, on Monday. He rejoined the Orioles in time for Wednesday's 3-0 victory at Kansas City.He said on the team's Web site that the boy was not named after Jim Leyland, his manager last season when he pitched for the Detroit Tigers. Walker said his father's name was James, and his wife's grandfather's name was Leyland and both fought in World War II."James Leyland Walker happened to be born on Memorial Day, so it was a natural name," he said. "I want him to be a guitar player. Unfortunately, he looks just like me. I went to the tobacco shop and got 50 cigars." He gave them to teammates in the clubhouse after the contest."This is like my second family but my first family comes first," he said. Copyright 2007 by UPI
