"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End” is easily the most confusing and the worst of all the Pirate series not withstanding the presence of Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp. Even Keith Richards, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley cannot do much in the presence of a flawed script.

Director Gore Verbinski and writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio appear clueless and seem to craft the script as and when they see fit rather than having a tight narrative from the beginning itself. Added to this is the fact that the film is unusually long, even Spider-Man 3 was short in comparison!

Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is dragged to Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) Locker. Jones is currently with Admiral Norrington (Jack Davenport), the British East India Trading Company. It appears this British badman has Davy's heart in his possession!

Enter Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). They are apparently negotiating with an Asian pirate village where seven pirate leaders are hunting for an extra two so that they can take on Jones' evil designs. Whether they succeed or not forms the crux of the film.

The plot is skewed with too many characters until you just give up trying to figure who is the hero and who is the villain or the quasi villain as the case may be. Even Johnny Depp's antics are not enough to save this pirates' film.

THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!!!!

I completely agree with T_Stud. "Pirates of the Caribbean AT WORLDS END" was amazing and unbelievably entertaining! I also agree with the fact that Spiderman should have just been one movie, and not a trilogy. We all know that the Spiderman producers wanted to make more money than "Pirates", so they wanted to make a trilogy as well. Spiderman will NEVER NEVER EVER be as quality like and richly entertaining as any of the "Pirates" movies. I feel horrible saying this, but the only part i did not enjoy about the film was when Will Turner became captain of the Flying Dutchman, and left Elizabeth behind. It was heartbreaking. This trilogy, as a whole, is sheer brillance and incredible. Thank you, Disney!!!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

I disagree completely with the article. Though it is a very long movie, there are many witty puns and an interesting story-line. It keeps you in your seat and on the edge of it even when you need to go to the restroom. This is the best film of the three, unlike Spiderman-3 which was a complete bust and should have stopped after the first film, the Pirates films get better with each movie. So whoever wrote this article evidently didn't watch the movie, or even listen to it. It didn't need saving, but the writer of the article should have just saved their breath.

Through the many twist and turns of the Pirates series very few people could have all of there predictions for the thrid instalment come true, it was a surprise all around. The character developement was excelent and the theme of the pursuit of freedom runs true through the series
