ANOKA, Minn., May 18 An on-air proposal made recently by a Minnesota man while appearing on "The Jerry Springer Show" has landed the would-be groom in jail. When Thomas Michael Glynn proposed to his ex-wife while they were on the TV show, he apparently never thought his parole officer would be watching him violate a judge's order, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press said Friday.

Glynn, 32, previously had been ordered by a judge not to have contact with his former spouse, making his on-air proposal a definite violation.

A report from Glynn's probation officer, Susan Kraack, showed that his proposal was not the only thing he shared with his TV audience.

"This agent was disturbed by the defendant's behavior on this show," Kraack wrote of Glynn. "Defendant's language was frequently bleeped off. Defendant's girlfriend was also on the show. Defendant was telling girlfriend to stay away from his ex-wife and children." The newspaper said Glynn and his wife divorced after he was convicted of trying to strangle her.
