BRUMUNDDAL, Norway, May 10 Graduating seniors in Brumunddal, Norway, made a 7-year-old drink beer to get collectible Russ cards.
Every year Norway's graduating class, known as the "Russ," dress in red or blue jumpsuits, party for a week and hand out nonsensical business cards to young kids who see them as collectibles, Aftenposten reported Thursday. They run treasure hunt's in which the children collect the cards and this year in Ringsaker, parents reacted in alarm after Russ apparently had a 7-year-old boy drink beer to get their cards.
The incident occurred during the Ringsaker Russ' treasure hunt in Brumunddal.
The President of the class of 2007, Cathrine Hosoien Dagestad, has issued an apology for the incident and promised it would not be repeated.
Dagestad said she was at the treasure hunt but did not know children were being forced to drink beer to receive the cards.
