Madrid - Barcelona star Ronaldinho has made it clear that he would like to play for Brazil in the Copa America (South American Championship) this summer. The digital version of Sport claims on Monday that Ronaldinho is keen to participate in the tournament, which will be played between June 26 and July 15 in Venezuela.

But he would also like to end the Spanish league properly with Barca as well as play in the final of the King's Cup, scheduled for June 23.

The Spanish league programme finishes on June 17, and promises to go to the tape, since Barca are just two points ahead of historic rivals Real Madrid.

Barca will probably face Sevilla in the cup final, since both teams won their semi-final first legs handsomely, against Getafe and Deportivo Coruna.

"I want to finish the season properly with Barca", Sport quotes Ronaldinho as saying, "but my thinking today is to participate in the Copa America."

According to Sport, Barcelona will try to delay Ronaldinho's departure for Venezuela until after June 23.

However, FIFA regulations demand that all players called up by their national teams for official tournaments be available 14 days beforehand. This means that national coach Dunga could insist that Ronaldinho join the Brazil squad on June 12.

They may have a similar problem with Mexican Rafa Marquez and with Argentine starlet Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid, for their part, are worried about losing Brazilians Cicinho and Robinho, whilst Sevilla could lose Brazilian right-back Daniel Alves.
