LONDON, May 6 Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has caused some indigestion by suggesting that the British should eat more horse meat.In his new television series, Ramsay promotes horse meat as nutritious, tasty, affordable and low in fat, the Sunday Telegraph in London reported.Ramsay, who served up horse meat on his show, described it as "slightly gamey" and "packed with protein." Ramsay ' s suggestion has sparked revulsion among animal lovers and some chefs. Marcus Wareing, the chef at Petrus in London, said he was appalled by the idea of serving horse meat to his customers. "It's not part of our food culture," Wareing said. "It ' s absolutely unthinkable. It is not illegal to eat horse meat in Britain, where it was eaten regularly in some regions until the1930s, the Telegraph said.Copyright 2007 by UPI
