BOSTON, April 25 The founder of a Web site devoted to baby boomers says such sayings as "50 is the new 30" are myths, because "50 is the new 50." Jeff Taylor founded the Monster.com job search site, and has now created Eons.com for the post World War II generation born between 1946 and 1964."You can be 50 but look like you are 40, feel like you are 30 and act like you are 20, but the only thing that doesn't change is your age," Taylor said debunking the statement. He said another myth is that advertisers aren't interested in boomers."Ignoring the wealthiest 80 million people in the country would be a huge oversight by any advertiser, and an oversight most advertisers probably won't make anymore," he said. Taylor also refuted the notion that boomers aren't interested in new technology."Since this generation prides itself on always have being been ahead of its time, there's no way they are going to fall behind now -- boomers want to learn and use the latest gadgets and technology," he said.
